My work has encompassed both community and inpatient settings, supporting adolescents and adults. This includes early intervention in psychosis, roles at The Forensic Hospital, and experience within The Children’s Courts at Parramatta and Surry Hills.
I have significant experience working with young individuals in out-of-home care who present with various challenges, such as:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Conduct Disorder
- Attachment Disorder
- School refusal
- Other disabilities
Additionally, I have facilitated group anger management programs for adolescents in school settings and collaborated with educational institutions to effectively support my clients.
I possess a great deal of knowledge regarding the significant impact mental health challenges can have on individuals’ lives. My experience encompasses observing individuals navigate periods of profound distress, as well as witnessing their remarkable recovery and subsequent achievement of personal goals. Furthermore, I recognise the profound effect these challenges have not only on the affected individual but also on their support network.
